I struggle a lot with this too, but I've made a bit of progress recently. Here are a few things to consider:

1- Focus. Be willing to buckle down for a second and introspect instead of passively waiting for a cool idea to pop into your head. I got way faster at thumbnailing comic pages when I stopped doing them digitally, not because of the medium but because when I did them in Clip Studio I'd instinctively tab over to Twitter the second I ran out of ideas. You don't need a godly attention span, just don't let your media-consumption reflexes get the better of you.

2- Let's be real, coming up with ideas isn't the problem- anyone can think of a dozen random objects and then draw those. The real issue is getting an idea that makes you go "hell yeah, I want to draw that". Nobody wants to just draw a fuckin lamp or something, but unfortunately you can't count on that Hell Yeah idea to just drop into your lap. You gotta develop that shit, and Lamp ideas are your building blocks.

3- Develop that shit. Start with something stupid and boring, like a lamp. The lamp is a stupid and boring idea for a drawing, but don't just dismiss it. See what else comes to mind when you think of that lamp. Think of situations and ways it might be used, including and especially stupid ones. Play word association, and if you come up with something else you like better then forget the damn lamp- the lamp isn't the point, it's just one thing to get you to start using your imagination.

You're not gonna have an interesting idea right out of the gate, but the more you play around with shit the easier it'll become. Take a minute to honestly focus, and don't be afraid of stupid, boring ideas.
