I struggled with the same thing for a long time. Look up marco bucci's 10 minutes to better painting series on youtube. His video on light and shadow help me think about deconstructing color and light into general planes, but you should watch seriously watch them all. Painting digitally is nothing like pencil to paper, try to think less about "drawing" a nose and more about "blocking in" a nose, if that makes sense. Also go to /beg, you'll find a lot of constructive criticism there.

Got this for Corel painter, because those Autodesk glow-in-the-darks give me the creeps. Did I do well?

IF YOU ARE A /BEG/INNER IN ART, please use this thread to post pieces for critique or ask for advice. We should not have to make new threads or post in the /draw/thread with our fundamental exercises.

Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, or you literally are never going to make it

TRY TO GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless
