Such a shame there isn't a direct modern equivalent/evolution to those kind of heavily stylized and angular shape-based art styles from the late 90s/early 2000s mangakas like Hiroyuki Takei and Kazuki Takahashi used to have.

Can you guys recommend me artist with a similar style to Hiroyuki Takei? What I specifically dig about his art is the black-heavy clean inking style with minimal to no screen tones, his particular angular shape design and character design sensibilities, and his way of drawing mechanical things in general.
Sorry if I come out as a wanker considering I've already posted about Shaman King before but the visual style really resonates with me

Why do shounen manga from 20 years ago look way more soulful and appealing than most shits that gets hyped by NPCs now? FMA, Eyeshield 21, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Shaman King are way more interesting in terms of content, character design and art direction than either Jujutsu Kaisen or Demon Slayer
