don't shade with black, looks really bad and muddy. Instead use a darker contiguous color on the hue with a bit more saturation.

that shadow things on the scapula, the stroke you used on ear, the low overall definition, the blurriness, specially on feet

maybe do one study on traditional and then try to compare it with digital, if the tools are not helping do some configuration adjustments until it feels more natural

separate light from shadow with core, add reflected light on shadow part if any, else just darken it, work on the mid tones of light part, get the highlights on the correct places.
