first started with a wacom intuos. Drawing surface area is ridiculously small. Wacom are way overpriced for screenless tablets too. Wouldn't recommend to even beginners.
Then moved on the huion wh1409. Surface area is big so you have an acceptable amout of freedom of movement.
Right now I'm using the cintiq 16. Drawing directly on screen is fucking great. It's way too difficult to do fast precise curves with a screenless tablet. Screenless tablets may be enough for painting (hand not covering the screen) but that's about it.
