Hello, it's my first time posting in this general
<- the picture attached to my post is the recreation of a picture I created on a whim of inspiration using Drawpile: >>6411969

When I first created the picture in Drawpile, the limited amount of tools I had (I used two brushes, a binary pen and a hard round to blend) made the creative process much more engaging and fun, along with giving the final piece a sort of "low quality" appeal (I think that's how I can best put it). In all it took me probably around 2 hours to finish it completely. I was pretty satisfied with it and the general workflow I have in Drawpile but I wanted to make it "official" (since it was just a Drawpile doodle) so I fired up CSP and got to work

Recreating the picture in CSP took me probably 4 hours, most of that time spent on the linework which in my opinion doesn't have the same appeal as the original picture, probably because I tried using a "real" brush which I had a hard time choosing since I have so many options in CSP (I ended up using a brush that imitates Photoshop's hard round). Ultimately, I was not satisfied with the recreation and workflow of the picture in CSP, although CSP has the airbrush which I really wish knew how to emulate in Drawpile since it's really REALLY useful to set a dark mood

So now I ask: should I use Drawpile as my main program for creating comics? should I figure out a proper workflow in CSP? also, what do you think about the picture itself? which version do you like best? would you read a comic that looked like this? do you like the composition? I had a ton of fun coming up with it, do you like the use of dark values? do you like the mood and atmosphere they set? what would you change about it? I usually don't open myself for critique of any kind but since I had so much fun with this I'm going to make an exception because I want to get better and have even more fun creating pictures that can tell a story
