I don't think Ai will ever be able to create real art.

For example, what if you wanted to draw a cool Mecha. While drawing it, you'd have to think about the story behind that Mecha, shape design, why it was build and by who, with what technologies, etc etc
You could use AI to help visualize things you find difficult, essentially using it as Reference images on steroids, or for photobashing, it might be really useful for concept art or brainstorming ideas, but that's it.
At the moment AI is the equivalent of an highly trained monkey that is able to mix images together based on a request, it can't understand what anything means, and that's just for a single picture, what about comics, or animation. It will never be able to write a deep story about the meanimg of life, human nature, love, emotions, etc, and the moment it will be able to, it'll probably be sentient, and it's ability to make art will be the last of our problems.
