Tars sipped his broth, looking at Firnez in the firelight, "and you? you serve the emperor directly, you've seen the Black Eyes' work firsthand, what of your 'bowls'?" Firnez smiled at Tars, the two scars on his chin looking like tusks in the flickering light, and began to eat.
