because you're only looking at the end product of drawing. You can never just go back to clean a line, because it will never have that smooth flow and come out jagged. And also, chicken scratch is just cancer for the mind. It just shows you dont really have a knowledge of the form your drawing, and that you're just taking multiple guesses till its right.

Also, think about it on a professional level. If you're an director for an animation company, who would you rather hire: a person who takes 5 secs to draw a clean whole arm vs a guy who takes a whole min to draw an arm, and then an extra 30 secs to clean it up, but still comeout shitty. And since the guy chicken scratched, he probably did not know the form well, and had to go back and redo parts, adding another min.

the only time chicken scratch is handy, is if you want to learn to draw something completely knew, like a goat, and you're just taking baby steps towards getting a grasp of the form. But when i draw the figure, even though im not perfect, i always aim for the most minimal strokes as possible, and ive noticed by doing this, my knowledge of the form improves a lot more.

Anyway, you're probably just going to say, BUT LOOK AT DIS FINAL PRODUCT! SO CLUEEN! but i hope i can convince other chickenscratchers lurking this thread.

Anyway, this is going to be really controversial: but i think a lot of people abuse gesture. It literally looks like liquid poopy. If people want their figure to not look stiff, than just focus on the countors of the form, not draw a bunch of fucking motion lines all over the place like a warner brothers cartoon.

Ive tried alternatives, from blonde girls to brazilion girls, but nothing seems to turn me on more than yellow. Its pathetic and perverted, but nothing can stop me.
