Not patronizing at all, actually reassuring because that's basically how I was finding drawing the head to work for me. No matter what I do, I find my Loomis heads look wonky and my more "jazzy" heads and skulls have better proportions and shape. But I'm not so good at that 50's advertising style, and so I figure I should see what I can learn from Loomis because obviously there's some sort of knowledge gap, and I find that doing these Loomis heads is helping me refine my heads in general, anyway. I think I have much much more to learn, even from this book.
