I will continue to use my debloated Windows 10 with updates cut off until my working tools demand me a OS update, then after you have all served as guinea pigs for Windows 11 that should be at halfway it's lifespan and countermeasures have already been developed, I will debloat the OS, cut updates off, remove the nuances and use the new OS freely until Im forced to repeat the cycle.
I did it with Windows 7 and will do it again with Windows 10

I really dont have much to say for you, other than suggest you to try more dynamic poses, nothing too crazy, but something that shows gesture. In this piece she is just standing there on a straight center, you could've give her some pronounced contrapposto, make it as if she's actually climbing up the pool, something like that.

Also what anon said here >>6953882 is important. Make sure to keep your color values in check, give a fair contrast between light tones and dark tones. As a life hack, add a layer full of pitch black on top of the whole thing, set it to "Color" mode, this will make the whole draw to look black and white, allowing you to check your values on the fly.

And to answer your question, no, the slop doesnt look like the character at all, let alone fits the design choices of the original. Horns are different, hair is messier and more tribal, the rocks in the skin are gone, the clothes were not on the original design, the face is completely different and doesnt have any of the essence of the character... and I could keep going, but you get the point. Every positive thing I could say about the pic goes to the drain because it doesnt look like the character at all and it's not what the client asked for.

Manipulative question aside, of course. Im a design freak that takes in consideration every design choice I can gather from a character and I only divert from the path when I see design choices that could be added/expanded upon. Needless to say, I take design quite seriously and I can safely say the slop throwing all design choices through the window is a huge loss.

Improvement in design is only when the original design choices are kept within the design regardless of how much is added or substracted. Making something completely different and dismissing the design choices is not improvement on this realm, specially in a professional setting.
