This is a copy of a study I did from a book called "Fundamentals of Drawing"

A portrait is hard, The most important part is the measurement, to do this you simplify the shapes of the face. Block IN is called.

Don't worry about shading until you line drawing looks good, when I mean good, I mean good measurements. No contour.
