It does not look bad so far. I think the difference between the dark shadow of thee turle itself and the light blue background is too steep.This hides the details. That's not saying this wouldn't exactly happen in real life but the turtle is the focus of the painting so it should be well visible contrasted to the bg and this kinda backwards.

Adding new stronger more visible light source that illuminates the turtle will help reveal its details more. I tried to add some shitty scribbled jungle and more light using overlay layers. It's not that good makes it look like it has neon glow but it shows what I mean.

If you wish to take the painting further and to the max the only thing you really need to do is work out the small details more. I know this is not easy that is where a hell lot of work goes into detailed paintings.
