Wow thanks for the in depth crit anon. Sounds like you know a lot more about color than I do. I tried my best to apply what you said but I'm still a little unsure about the way it looks right now.
I tried desaturating the contrasting colors a lot, or moving them closer on the hue scale to eachother so they weren't so distracting.
Does this work better? Also I applied a cool photofilter to the one on the left, I've heard this helps tie the colors together but I don't know if its working.

Yeah someobody else told me that too...hmmm. I'll consider changing it but its a little hard right now cause it was traditionally inked. Originally I had him slouching halfway off the bed in a defeated depressive pose but I couldn't draw it the right way so I just made him look frustrated.
