/ic/ - Artwork/Critique

Started this tonight, about 2 hours in at this point (I'm very slow because I try to learn to "feel" the form still).

Do you guys have remarks about general issues that need fixing first? (btw, the hands aren't in yet because I haven't decided what I want them to do at this point. I'm not planning to hide them)

My main problem right now is that I've never painted anything further than that point and have no clue about how to go on from this point... Do you focus on one area and detail it out 100% or is there some intermediate step before? Also, should I bring color in before the detailing or afterwards?

I'm sorry, I'm a huge noob at this, but I'm grateful for all advice!
