The only crony capitalists causing your depression are the ones who spout gibberish daily about how the "end of abundance" has to come to an end. The same people write books that blatantly and unshamefully admit they will cause suffering in the world for the same of some phony reified agenda that the economy needs to be "reset". They treat the world like a videogame and then tell you gamers are the problem.
You can call them "capitalists" if you want, they do anything but. They fill the government with "their people" not "the people" and lobby to abide by their rules, which isn't capitalism whatsoever.
