Sounds like you're doing a sort of atelier sight-size measurement technique, that shit takes a long time but is very accurate when you do it right. Think about learning to type, how long it took you at first to be able to get a sentence down, hunting for each key. The speed comes with time. If youae just tery to goa to fgast withouyt gettign ti dowen acuretayle frst then bad shit happens. Do it right and then speed it up over time. Anyway, I'm very impatient so I don't like the sight-size method, I just do gesture -> construction and check plumb lines and shit for accuracy. For reference I'm the anon who posted the gestures from imagination. Picrel is a figure from photo reference so you can decide if you want to take my advice with a grain of salt.

It's chunners, I'm figuring out wide hips. I always try to do "too much" during my warm ups, because I can always dial it back and it makes mistakes more obvious.
