just bruteforce me this shit. Put on some music and just copy 30 angles for each 3D model, starting with the most basic angles!

>i dont see how switching model of head will solve my inability to draw loomis head but thanks anyway for trying

the two are not exclusive, the sphere method is just there for the beginning of your drawing, to lay the base of your head, then if you want to have a correct impression of three-dimensionality you have to think about the planes of the head. picrel from loomis

You can do it by intuition if you have a bit of mileage under your belt.
But if you're aware of the planes of the face you can always draw a correct-looking face from any angle.

I'm not even that guy, I just thought your wording was confusing and wrong. you even recommended loomis, seems like the same plane to me. eyes have perspective that gets affected by foreshortening and overlapping forms, but the don't wrap around the head.

You need to start thinking in terms of spheres and cubes and general planes, and how light reflects off of them to create form.
>Measuring
>Perspective
>Value
These are the things I would focus on as a beginner.

Learn to visualize form. AKA Learn to think about things as three dimensional objects instead of as silhouettes or symbols.

Loomis that shit up.

>art is full of nuance and it's impossible to get to every bit of knowledge by trial and error.
Fundamentals =/= Trial and Error

You only think this dumb shit that you do because you have no concept of how fundamentals are applied in a drawing.
A nose is just a series of planes like anything else in the goddamn world, Christ.

Will beginners actually get anything out of Loomis if they haven't grasped drawing in 3D yet? Why does every meme this guy if people aren't ready for him?

Start drawing from reference and drop any notions of 'style'. Look up proper facial proportions and start analyzing the planes and forms of the face and head.
