you just have to keep doing it, and take more time to get it right. shading is not easy, and it takes a LONG time, even a simple pear could take an hour to shade if you're going for accuracy. also do plenty of pic related.

You should practice at first with pencil only, a ballpoint pen can also work, try these in pic related. Start light, and darken. Darkest shade on the left, lightest on the right. I have no idea how this works digitally, if that's how you're working.
