thanks for the crit. i find atmospheric haze tough to knock in this early, at least for objects that need it to be subtle -- im going to hold off on that until late stages. gave the sky a slight bump in saturation, but i want to keep it desaturated as a way to help keep the focus on the center girl. the sunny day thing -- yeah that's an issue. probably going to be struggling with the lighting throughout the process.

at a glance, no, at least not to me, but that middle sketch bridges the gap well. getting a skullgirls vibe from the righthand sketch.

thanks! hmm, yeah, the red could stand to be less saturated probably. maybe the atmospheric haze will take care of it. i played around with additional masts and boats in the bg, but couldnt get anything that worked well.
