I do think I really want to learn drawing but it feels like my results just don't materialize. I come in and out of this a lot. I got to this point in Loomis where you draw his avatar but I feel like I'm arriving at this from looking and copying more than Loomis' techniques (my axis lines are pretty shit). When I try to actually build a face I fail to 'build' at all. It's hard for my mind to understand how Loomis transforms the ovals he draws into fat cheeks, and he seems to pull his chins out from the ether. Should I look up pictures of faces and start drawing them so I have a better idea of the pieces of construction?
