there exists a bitcoin machine that gives every self proclaimed "professional artist" 1 bitcoin every time any single artist comes up an idea that serves as a good creative prompt.

the catch is this machine doesn't exist and you don't get paid for volunteering good drawing prompt ideas that benefit this huge blob of "us, artists"

I'm saying we have to unionize basically. Yes we all hate each other, yes we all have good tastes and some of us can draw realistically and some can draw anime titties.

As of right now, society totally dictates what constitutes "good art". good art sells, bad art doesn't. this ultimately leads to what: either soul-less galleries full of kitschy mom bullshit or hardcore furry porn.

Artists need to dictate what is good art. The era of the modern art critic is over. hell the era of the critic is over.

You know why makes /ic/ great? why you and I keep coming back? because here there are genuine "Artist/Critic"s. People who know how to put their personal prejudices aside and truly deeply analyse this creative process and illuminate a realistic path forward for another artist in a way they can't by themselves.

That's what we ought to strive for as a standard for /ic/.

not this endless barrage of :

>artist posted
>critic criticized
>artist feels personally attacked, insults critic and vice versa.

everyone on here, draws themselves and spends their off time critiquing other peoples art/looking up art/soaking up tutorials what have you. and at the end of the day, /ic/ are people. real d/ic/ks are "Artist/Critic"s. everyone else is a waste of your time with no concern for you or your art or this community or the artistic community as a whole. so ignore them.

ignore them, pay attention to the those who are genuinely trying to help you see your art dreams through and hey maybe we can share a laugh at how we literally all have that feeling that we're "ngmi".

I'm gonna make it, and you're gonna make it. we're gonna make it. wgmi.
