I like what you did with it, but that's not really the style I was going for I'm afraid.

I'm not a huge fan of the more modern anime styles with the overly simplistic noses, and the oval pupils, and symbol eyes. I actually much prefer the 80s/90s anime style which featured a lot more detail. Daisuke Ishiwatari's work in particular resonates with what I like quite particularly.

I mean, it looks good. What you did to it. I'm not knocking it, but I am going for a different style.

And before someone points out the differences between this image and my drawing, I would hope they google more of his work. I have a couple of his artbooks, and the way he draws females can vary quite a bit from piece to piece. I'm not tying to copy Ishiwatari, I'm using him as a source of inspiration.
