so first off, DRAW A BOX a;sldjf i'm sorry to meme on you but it's super useful for soooo many things! especially more mechanical/hard rectangulal things. for a tanto style buster sword like cloud's it's easiest to jus draw a full rectangular prism for the entire length up to the tip, then add lil bisecting outlines for any important cut placements, after that it's as simple as connecting the dots! also drawing an x on any flat rectangular surface can help you find the middle, tho keep in mind if you like to flex your perspective a lot like i do, you gotta have that x flex similarly, or else it'll be allll inaccurate an bad ;-;

i also made slight edit to sword angle jus based on my personal preference/how she's holdin it vs how you'd wanna angle it for the swing. i also made it a bit shorter cause program i used to draw this is butt about resizing ;-;; but you can make it as long as you want! jus keep extending the rectangular prism you use to draw it.

also don't be afraid to exagerate! if she's in the middle of swinging it you might want to add a bit of flex to the blade, having it slightly bend/trail behind the swing, flexing more an more as you reach the tip because that's the part moving the fastest. you'd also wanna dirty the lines a bit to imply motion, look up some mangas you like that do cool sword stuff to see more of what i'm talkin about, i'm almost certain they'd be doin somethin similar
