/beg/ is not necessarily my level, and I am not necessarily on the level of /beg/. Stop overthinking it. I just use the general to have feedback on my art. Really unexpected to hear somebody saying that I'm not shit. Continue to use this general with no shame, man. Don't think that you're somehow not up to standards for a fucking 4chan thread. I wish i could see your stuff and say something good about it, because from what I'm seeing you really need somebody to tell you that you are good at drawing.

First, I also don't want to draw a perfect picture,("polished turd") because there are more important factors in art to me. Second, i can't really draw what I want either. I wanted to draw an illustration to Beefheart's "Bat Chain Puller", but I have absolutely no fucking clue how to do it, even with some ideas. I'm not the kind of artist that can draw whatever he wants like he's testing an AI prompt.. I'm very restricted. I'm not the kind of guy that can tell you how to draw what you want, I'm very spontaneous in what I do. I think I just focus on the details that I want to relay in a drawing. With Zoot Horn Rollo, I'd like to effectively show his likeness - he's young, 6ft tall, incredibly thin with long hair, thin face and big cheekbones - these are the features that I can notice and try and capture. I think I just want to make his likeness effectively because he's essentially my hero when it comes to guitar and music. I want to pay tribute and not embarrass myself.
