I dig figurative work, and I also dig work with psychological edge. I tend to prefer darker stuff. Bacon embodies all of these aspects. I also like the freedom of his imagery, how it dissolves and dissipates and rides the line between recognizable forms and expressionistic abstraction. Plus, he's just a talented painter on a technical level.
