It's a fantastic setting, more Roman/Mediterranean if anything, but really a potpourri of generic European culture. Corn was quite widespread, but maybe not the corn she's using (for making popcorn). That said, if you read the bubbles in the pic you quoted, dad mentions potatoes, which would be way more of an anachronism since the Spanish had to bring it from Bolivia in the New World. However, a world without potato is not a world worth living in.

I'm watching a bunch of documentaries, work was mostly done communally by the whole village and if at least 80% of the residents are not working on the fields, they'd have to find some vassals, an idea I don't like much for this family, so I might just brush it to getting help from the villagers as payment for their more specialized goods.

Parents' parents aren't around because this farm was granted close to the border Ätamo is supposed to protect, they used to live more to the center of the kingdom.
Lantiel being with her grandparents early on would definitely work, perhaps even the twins. Taya would be the first one born at the new farm (the 5 year gap was a long military expedition + renewing the farm for living).

I wonder who could possibly be the mintulo with a grudge trying to start up drama. It's not too late to pop into a beautiful popcorn.

To clarify to the normal anons being fed this smear campaign by a clique, I am not looking for art, I am merely posting for feedback, which is one of the purposes of the thread. The pictures are for context. Read, nigga, read.
