it's interesting going through the whole series and basically seeing BLOM learn how to draw
he was blogging for a decent part of the series. there's a post made around book 4 where he finally reread the manga he was inspired by
he goes into a bunch of epiphanies about how manga uses stark b&w and how his characters previously looked more like newspaper comics. after that the art looks a lot better and is drawn more confidently
his work after scott pilgrim looks a lot nicer but also bores the shit out of me so meh
