Why is it that, in an discussion of free expression, the artists actual intent is ignored? I keep seeing this hand waving of "they couldn't have really meant it", or "They were the enemy all along". Seems like no one actually cares about censorship farther than furthering #comicgate culture war bullshit. No one wanted the cover, so it was dropped.
