Can't see anything on your drawing, but you are supposed to measure what you want to draw, but not in cms or inches, but using another part of the drawing as reference.
For example, in a front profile, a good looking face (usually) has this proportions, notice which measures repeat, and which ones are used to measure smaller ones, I think Right brain has you selecting an initial base measure so that you can use it to compare it with the rest of your scene. You could do that, You could also measure the distance with your fingers or your pencil.
