Is it even possible to isolate yourself from society and study 10 hours a day and git gud in a year? Or is this just childish nonsense?

This is the kind of mindset that successful bodybuilders and sports stars talk about in interviews.
They suggest that they have a burning passion in them that never goes out and it helps them push through the hard times

Does anyone think this is true? I don't have this, I give up easily, I feel de-motivated half the time
I'd like to believe that they're just saying it to pump people up

I feel pretty safe in saying that 99% of the people on this board are not above the skill level where they have no need for the common resources found in books in other resources by well over a year of studys worth

Saying that, you should download all the books and reference material you can
and then cancel your internet subscription and sell your vidya games and console

This is a pretty nuclear way to go but I know how your situation is and truly the only way out is to become a hard ass and plow through your struggles, if you let this life continue to consume your motivation you will never recover
