sorry if this sucks its hard to overpaint at 4 am with an erection
- eyes + mouth forward and up, ear up
- dont go overboard with skin tones, adding too many weird tones ages people up
- highlights get smaller with more reflectivity, skin usually has smooth, spread out highlights unless lubed -> avoid small speculars unless you want a greasy porno look
(i suck at drapery so take the clothes with a grain of salt)
- try to build your clothing with convincing volume
- this goes double for the shadows that define the folds
and finally some personal preference stuff:
- i like to outline (skin especially) with a darker version of the main color, it tends to look more natural
- some HSV adjustments to personal preference (Hue towards red, more saturation, slightly darker)
