Hello, I'm up to the same part as you. The site says to make use of ghosting, which if I remember is essentially hovering your pencil back and forth (but not actually drawing anything) across a line you want to draw. I've been doing that between my vertical line's point and the vanishing point, but only putting pen to paper for part of the line, the part that connects to my box.
I've included my own, maybe it'll help you.
I've explained this really, really badly, I'm sorry. I'm sure once we get this stuff down it'll be a lot more fun, too.

The site hasn't mentioned anything about the possibility of vanishing points being too close yet, so I didn't know that either.
