I'd appreciate some general feedback/response/impressions on this.

Crabs usually have one claw bigger than the other. This could be further emphasized by varying sizes of crystals as mentioned here. >>2584156 Maybe instead of emphasizing it you could try some big crystals on the small claw and small ones on the big claw. That'd be somethin alright.

Also I want to see these guys with their claws up, ready to snibbety-snab. They look a bit tired as is.

Not too cluttered at all. You could get away with much more honestly. I love the detail of the armor, yet the over all simplicity in her outfit (at least compared to many other depictions of fantasy angels, with the giant fancy armor and all that). It gives it a sense of honesty.

Is this a zoom in of a larger painting? I'm interested in seeing what's going on with the plane-shift in at the bottom.

Definitely has some emotion going on. But I'd take another look at the nose -- the bottom/left edge seems a bit unnaturally outlined compared to the rest of the face.

I really do like the overall style, but the arm needs work, mainly in terms of foreshortening.
