I have my own rhythms that dont involve boxes for the pelvis, but I cooked this up. That second pelvis is still giving me some trouble actually.

I still dont know what your argument is. If you can apply it to difficult poses, does that not show that you have mastered the Hampton method? Its not as though it should be difficult
I wouldnt advocate that its something you must do on every figure you draw either (because its very impractical), but when trying to learn someone's process, I cant imagine a drawback that accompanies going through that process in complex situations.
This could all still be a misunderstanding though since I dont know the original artists intent
