(This isnt to say that I think the week system should be neglected in favor of challenge stuff or whatever, im not actually exactly sure how the integration would work.)I think this cause of a couple of reasons.

It would be pretty dumb, but as it stands thats how the week system works in las. The only way to push yourself up is to hope those up ahead of you die off, and all they have to do is scribble for 30 mins a day. Now, I dont know about you, but I want las to be something that pushes people to improve not just stagnate and feel okay with that cause theyre a meme. But if we made it so that your position on the site was affected by how many challenges you join and COMPLETE (by doing this we'd also be addressing how to deal with people that dont finish the challenges they join) it would incentivize people to make more challenges that people want to join, it would make the week oners have to WORK to keep their status rather than just getting it cause the happened to join las before everyone else.Just my two cents, im sure this system wouldnt be perfect and would need tweaking, but what doesnt?

At the this point when I see you joining all these challenges and not submitting to me youre saying 'these dont matter. I can join and not submit and it means all the same to me' and especially when ive made some of those challenges that shit kinda feels bad and it only feels worse the more you do it. And with the sketch swap, I was excited about there finally being a challenge with 100% users joining submitting but then you came in and took that away from us. I dont know why youre doing this but you can still turn around and prove us all wrong.

No if you are 20 something it is not too late to start drawing. If you are in your late 40s from on, then thats when it starts getting iffy. God damn it pisses me off whenever this discussion comes up and fucking 20 year olds chime in with "NU UH I STARTED DRAWING WITH I WAS 23 AND THAT WAS A YEAR AGO"
