What do you guys think of the background? I'm not sure if it feels empty or if doing any more would take away from the actual portrait. (Also if there are strange anatomy mistakes)?

Very nice, only thing I'd say is with all the dark values the shapes/details kind of get indistinct, might be what you're going for though

Honestly to me the subtlety in the color is pleasing; I tend to enjoy subtle variations. Gives it a very night feel
