At the end of the article/interview, they would often ask advice for /beg/ artists etc.
It's at the very bottom (プライドより自信をもて) translates to: Have Confidence over Pride

Basically Yoshida Toru was struggling because he kept seeing more and more talented animators/artists who were much younger than him be successful in the animation industry (Director of Jin-roh for example).
Then one day, he focused on how to study in order to get good and not worry about others. And other animators/artists would often give the advice of "Have Confidence over Pride", because having pride will damage you but confidence will push you to be more open to any failure so that you can learn from it. And this gave him the drive to draw everyday more and more.
And even to this day he keeps drawing because he enjoys the learning process and seeing ways on how to make better animation effects etc.
