Took piano lessons as a wee kid. Played cello in elementary school. Got into drums in middle and high school. Then got a keyboard like last year to get back into practicing music. Plus I have some experience with editing to music and stuff and its all kind of part of musical construction type of memes.

I'm pretty heavily influenced by music. Like my whole "staccato strokes" shit like OP >>3769281 >>3770017 and really most the other crazy looking ones are painted to the music. I think of painting, particularly when it's starting with graphite transfer or exact proportional grids, as kind of like playing music. You start with the sheet music, or the image on the canvas, and then the process of painting it is how you choose to compose the piece, etc.

yeah I mean I try to lean into stuff I frigged up previously. Whole reason I got into Acrylic at all was it's a weird, frustrating medium with a lot more time considerations and stuff. It was the medium I had like no spearience with at the thyme.

This is a good way to explore how time IS entropy. AND it's a good way to explore how time being entropy is connected to memetics. Brings in psychology concepts like the Baader Meinhoff phenomena and cocktail party effect and all kinds of relevant stuff. You see something once, it may not mean anything. But when you see it over and over your pattern-seeking mind starts to focus on it and then every time it appears it becomes the only thing you see. This is exposure and conditioning and exploiting how our berry-picking ape brains were evolved to seek out patterns and continuity and stuff.

This is ALL connected to the entropic nature of existence. How we learn and how our instincts evolved is all the result of this complex repeating system that's been spanning millions of generations of ancestors eating and fucking and dying and learning and building on the things that came before.

And memetics is all about understanding and exploring how human ideas and behaviors propagate through time and space. And the idea of painting internet memes is all about capturing them in a traditional mediums "for historical preservation." As a joke! It's evidence of this cultural concept existing in a tangible medium, under the assumption that we're entering a historical dark age, where in like 400 years we probably won't have access to any of the media that only exists digitally right meow and going forward. Potentially entering a new dark age gnome sang.

Anyhoo tldr: time is entropy being annoying to you is a reflection that time is entropy. so is painting memes probably.

Honestly what does being a student even have to do with any of it any more? It's almost 10PM. And college students go to class for like 3 hours a day. Not exactly that hard to shitpost just because summer is over. I mean shit I used to browse /tv/ and shit in class all the time. My internet usage goes up when summer is over I'd imagine. Probably applies to most everyone tbphwyf.
