I'm rambling about a different/recent Blizzard hire.

Blizzard can have (and often does, to be fair) their choice of top whatever in the industry. It's when you start to get questionable quality and meh-tier qt shit that you need to poke your head a bit deeper and wonder how-in-the-world.

From what I've seen personally, none of this surprises me to be honest. And yes, it's dirty. Everyone "knows" it's happening just like everyone in Hollywood "knows" about casting couches but everyone is tight lipped.

Nah, I do plenty of hiring. Women are more than competent if you're hiring with your head and not with your dick. Bottom line before pussy.

I agree the tone can come across as woe-is-me but I'm already in a senior role, I'm younger than most of the company, and I make more money than I know what to do with. I don't harbor jealousy around these things (as you'll soon find out why).

You can't talk to HR about these things because the HR is complicit. They aren't there to cover you as the employee per-se as much as they're there to cover the higher ups and the company itself. You do get once in awhile an outside HR team come in for "culture and company values" aka do damage control over a potential lawsuit from an employee being sexually assaulted, but that's smoke and mirrors.

The reason why I know all this to begin with is because these women sleep with me and divulge to me all the things that are happening behind the curtain. Some refuse the "offers" the bosses give them in exchange for sex. Some agree. They can't go to HR and they know it. If you just show up to do your job and go home to your kids, you'd be completely blind to it all.

It wouldn't surprise me if Blizzard gets hit with a sexual harassment thing, but it might take awhile.
