First you have to decide if you want to draw in a semi realistic style or not.
Second: The volumes and tonal values are wrong. You CAN have darker shadows on your drawings, don't be afraid to use them. Your shadows are going to be defined by the light direction and the objects form. Sometimes you will need well defined shadows (with sharper borders like around the nose, ears, hair and tail), and sometimes you will need softer shadows (with softer borders or gradients, like on the legs and near the forehead).
There is also a problem with your head format, that I fixed in blue.
