For me it was hands. It was a total slog and didn't get it until I saw one in a book resting hands overlapped together, meatily resting. Before, I was bruteforcing trying to get exact hands right, making measurements, ratios, dimensions and stuff. But after seeing that artwork, I just gave myself the freedom to make obvious mistakes and enjoy the possibilities of how expressive hands can be. That is to say, I guess I moved away from structure and more to gesture.

That's the basic idea of drawing as a whole anyways - getting the idea and refining it in the limits of how you structure it.

/ic/ how do I not get carpal tunnel?

i draw for my job and then come home and draw more. How do I save my hands?

All I do at the moment is the basic bend-your-fingers-back stretches.
