Does every variant cover need to show the hero defeating the villan. Sometimes the hero gets caught. Pic related.

I'm sure most of the complainers haven't even read The Killing Joke. The Joker shoots Barbara, paralyzing her from the waist down. No longer able to walk or fight back she's captured by the Joker and knowing the type of person he is, she knows the worst is yet to come.

I say she shows the right emotion for the situation, FEAR.
