note how the bottom is more straight that the top, eyes raise upward not downwards, drooping eyes have a purpose but you should ignore those for now.

note, manga/anime eyes still follow the same basic form as realistic eyes, they're just usually placed lower on the head and elongated upward. (and rounded/sharpened depending on the style)

don't get caught up in doing "manga" eyes, just do eyes in general and stylize them.
