Good explanations, the book The Science and Practice of Drawing by Harold Speed has an interesting take on this where the author relates the human inability to draw well what it can plainly see because of our reliance on the sense of touch and other senses, concluding that the sense of vision is always in service of some other sense. It's an interesting take and not one I ever thought of before.
