How do I go from drawing that was done by a bit of imagination and combaining ref to rendering it ?

Every reference has diffrent colors, shadow and light direction and even if you find the one that fits there are other things that needs to be referenced so its impossible to find everything in the same shadow and color structure.

How the fuck do i render anyway. Sometimes i do it fairly ok if i have to do it straight from reference. Those fucking hard and soft edges I see them know they should be here and there but i have no clue how to manualy put it (digitaly). Noone fucking teach you how to render. Im mostly talking about clean and neat rendering like this <--

occlusion, ambient light, edges, soft, hard. like the fuck i know when to do which. There must be some logical way of doing it.
