Bumskee is an artist who got famous during the golden age of conceptart.org for showing his progression over the years in his sketchbook thread from being /beg/ level like in the left OP pic to professional level. Pic related is one of his most well known paintings. When his sketchbook thread still existed you could see all the studies and shit he did over the years to reach that level.

Here's an small archive of the thread. Sadly the majority of the sketchbook threads are lost to time forever. It's a complete shame that no one bothered to do a complete archive of conceptart.org before it went offline.

This was a great way to see the realistic progression artists took from /beg/ to /pro/. Not that retarded "ASIAN JEANS" bullshit.

There will never be and can never be a community like conceptart ever again in the age of modern social media. /ic/ is the closest thing left of it unfortunately.
