What is the best /beg/ painting book? I downloaded many, but they totally omit the basics of the actual painting itself. I want something like the YouTube videos that explain that painting is about cutting shapes, shape design, big-medium-small etc. All painting books treat the reader like he already knows what he's doing.

How do you get confident about achieveing a very big challenge? I will have a very big uni exam soon (non-art), and I have very little time to study and have lots of negative feelings (I can not remember stuff, not enough time so its pointless, Im slow etc), how do you get in a good mindset to get shit done? I know its not art but its the most important thing in my life and I cant draw while being insecure about this
