I bought a 27 QHD off craigslist and donated it to a school shortly thereafter, close enough I'd say. I've also used a Cintiq 12WX and an iPad with Apple Pencil.

Spend your money on an Intuos L (or at least an M) and your education-or absolutely nothing. Literally anything would be a better use of your money and that's a promise. I count the two times I'd deluded myself into purchasing a Cintiq among the biggest financial mistakes I've made in my life, don't let it become yours too lol

I manage a small video game store that I have the good fortune to operate completely alone. The pay is alright and it was, for a while, a comfy place to draw until my personality attracted more regulars (which run the gamut from normal people and aging greasers all the way down to obsessive compulsive lunatics I have to shoo out of the store upwards of four times a day).

I generally enjoy talking to people about their problems and helping work through them to an extent, but my having acquiesced to serving as a budget therapist amongst marked-up merchandise has nonetheless robbed me of one of the major (and only) incentives I'd had to continue working there and I'm not sure what I should do moving forward.

Tell him his ability shouldn't determine his self-worth, because thats a losing stance to get into. Esp. in art where anything you do can be mediately weighted against the biggest masterpieces of all time by anyone with eyes.
