It's not "Interesting/Emotional Artwork", it's "Artwork/Critique". It's only natural for a place that is dedicated to self-improvement to value people with vast technical skill.

You are free to provide us with examples of modern artists with same skill level who are also good at whatever you call "emotion" and "not being plain and boring".

If you can't find any or, god forbid, think that cartoon/comic/anime shit is worth mentioning in this context (they are perfectly fine in any other discussion) then, guess what?
